Increased Enforcement Against Illegal Employment

Israeli enforcement authorities have significantly intensified inspections and enforcement actions targeting the employment of foreign nationals who either lack a valid visa or are working under an incorrect visa category.

These inspections are being conducted across all sectors and typically involve:

  • On-site questioning of employees and management.
  • Document inspections and verification.
  • Administrative and criminal enforcement measures in cases where violations are identified.
KTA Recommendation:

We strongly advise clients to conduct immediate internal compliance reviews. It is essential to verify that all immigration and employment documentation is accurate, fully updated, and compliant with current regulations. KTA continues to provide strategic counsel and representation for businesses regarding preventive audits, internal investigations, and formal enforcement proceedings.

Key Details:
  • Status: This is currently an intended policy and has not yet been finalized.
  • Expected Extension: The quota for up to 10,100 foreign workers, originally set to expire on April 1, 2026, is expected to be extended until October 31, 2026.
  • Compliance: All previously established recruitment requirements and conditions remain fully in effect.
Strategic Planning:

Historical data shows that these quotas are often exhausted within a matter of days. KTA recommends that employers in the industry sector prepare all necessary applications in advance. This preparation will allow for immediate submission the moment the official announcement is made public.
